...Serve with toast, crackers or baguette. Or, halve California prunes and spread on top! Yum! This practical party dish can be made ahead. Leftovers can be frozen for future use. Also makes a wonderful hostess present packed in a crock with a ribbon tied around it! Tastes so marvellous it could be the real thing!
Wines to match: old white Burgundy or Chenin Blanc, Loire reds, Rioja, Merlot, or sweet wines such as late-harvest Vidal or Riesling, Sauternes, Barsac, LBV or tawny Port.
